Photography And Photo Editing Training For Kiulu

OBJECTIVE

A session on basic photography and photo editing has been requested by the Kiulu Tourism Association (KTA) for their community. STB has engaged SPS to conduct the 2-day training. The training aims to provide rural communities with the photography and editing skills they need to promote rural tourism digitally and transform their area into a world-class rural tourism destination by 2025 and beyond.

FINDINGS AND FEEDBACK:

A total of 18 participants attended the training. Most participants were product owners and marketing coordinators, and ninety percent had already set up their social media accounts. The key goal of this training is to help the community and product owners acquire basic knowledge and skills in smartphone photography and editing. The topics covered during the training were an introduction to photography, the fundamentals of photography (composition, lighting, and perspective), smartphone photography, smartphone camera settings, smartphone photo editing apps, and editing techniques and tips. We received positive feedback from the Kiulu Tourism Association (KTA) and they look forward to the next training (Digital training).
