Digital Marketing Training for the community of Kg Tajau Laut, Kudat

Kg. Tajau Laut, Kudat is a potential area that can further be developed for tourism. Established 8 years ago, Tajau Laut Guesthouse is the first accommodation provider in this village and has been receiving domestic and international guests. Tajau Laut Guesthouse has been highly rated by Booking.com with a score of 9.1 in 2018 and 9.3 in 2019. They have recently set up the Tajau Laut Rural Community Tourism Mobilization Association.

With their association setup, Tajau laut requested training to further equip themselves with knowledge on how to identify potential products and how to market and obtain sales. The training duration took 2 days and 15 participants attended the workshop. During the 2-day workshop, they trained on how to create a business email address, create a professional Instagram account, and learn what e-commerce is, and how it can help market their products. The turnout and results from the workshop were promising as most of the participants were able to grasp the concept of digital marketing.
