STB’s Commitment: Seminar Integriti Pegawai Muda (SIPMA)
The Seminar Integriti Pegawai Muda (SIPMA) program, is a significant initiative aimed at empowering young officers in the Sabah state government. Organized by BIGoNS, the event focuses on cultivating integrity and ethical leadership in young professionals. 3 officers from STB were selected.
YB Datuk Seri Panglima Sr. Haji Safar bin Untong, JP, State Secretary, officiated SIPMA 2024. The program featured four impactful sessions:
- Sabah State Public Service Basic Regulations by YBrs. Puan Wan Razanah binti Matsah, Chief Assistant Senior Director, INSAN, Sabah State Public Service Department.
- “Manis Udang, Maka Ketam Di Rebus Tidak Merah” by YBrs. Dr. Mona binti Othman, Director, National Audit Department, Sabah.
- Jauhari Inspiration: Mengukuh Integriti Mengakar Jati Diri by YBhg. Datuk Karunanithy Y. Subbiah, Sabah State MACC Director.
- Ribs Crushing: Storytelling From the Iron Curtain by Mr. Mohd Firdaus bin Ramlan, CJ Global Venture Company.
The program’s impact to the attendees is profound. It fosters professional growth by aligning officers’ conduct with ethical standards, preparing them for future leadership roles. Furthermore, SIPMA inspires a culture of integrity, encouraging officers to promote transparency and accountability within their teams. Over time, the goal for the program is to instill lifelong habits of integrity and ethical decision-making, crucial for fostering trust in public institutions.
Through SIPMA, young officers not only grow professionally but also contribute to a more ethical and accountable state government.
